Swiss mediators hope Russia can join WTO this year

GORKI, Russia (Reuters) - Russia said it is hopeful that Swiss mediators in Moscow's bid to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Georgia will agree on all pending issues over the next few hours, a Kremlin aide told reporters on Sunday.

Arkady Dvorkovich, who serves as economic adviser to President Dmitry Medvedev, added that a Swiss delegation was now heading to the Georgian capital Tbilisi where it will discuss the entry bid.
