Fukushima, Japan - The Japanese government has issued the evacuation order on March 12 for the residents living within the 20 kilometer radius of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Since then, residents have left their homes, and the "no man land" has been out of touch with the rest of the world. A Japanese journalist, Tetsuo Jimbo, ventured through the evacuation zone last Sunday, and filed the following video report. He says that, inside the evacuation zone, homes, building, roads and bridges, which were torn down by Tsunami, are left completely untouched, and the herd of cattle and pet dogs, left behind by the owners, wonders around the town while the radiation level remains far beyond legal limits. The operator of Japan's troubled nuclear power plant's confirmed two more reactors experienced a partial fuel meltdown at the site. It had previously been thought only the No. 1 reactor had suffered such a fate. The plant's cooling systems were knocked out by March's devastating earthquake and tsunami. The official death toll from the disaster currently stands at some 14000 people. Klaus Peter Koltermann from the UNESCO intergovernmental oceanographic commission told RT that the Japanese authorities never did enough to prepare for the natural disaster that struck them. A small group of evacuees have briefly been allowed inside the exclusion zone around Japan's damaged Fukushima nuclear plant. For the first time, the government gave permission for short visits so people could gather belongings and check on their properties. Meanwhile, a recent map of contamination released by Japan shows high levels of radiation well outside the evacuation zone. Dr Robert Jacobs can help shed more light on this. He's a Research Associate Professor of Nuclear History and Culture at the Hiroshima Peace Institute. RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com
Busby: Fukushima reactors a raging radioactive inferno
There are signs that two further reactors at Japan's troubled Fukushima plant may have gone into meltdown. Similar problems were earlier confirmed at the number one reactor. Its operators are suspected of failing to properly cool them after the earthquake. RT gets some insight on this from Professor Christopher Busby, who's from the European Committee on Radiation Risks. Follow latest updates at twitter.com and www.facebook.com Japan is dealing with the aftermath of a massive tsunami. The official number killed is now 375. That's a figure which even the most optimistic estimates suggest will rise dramatically. The huge wave was caused by the biggest earthquake in the country's history. Japan has now asked the UN to send rescue teams to help deal with the disaster. Another earthquake has also hit central Japan in the past hours, although there are no reports of damage from this latest aftershock. An emergency situation has been declared at the Fukushima nuclear plant in the north east, after it was damaged. The pressure inside the reactor is rising, raising fears of a radiation leak. But Japan's nuclear safety agency says to reduce the pressure, radioactive vapor may be released, posing no risk to humans or the environment.

Engineers at Japan's struggling Fukushima nuclear plant have resumed efforts to remove built-up radioactive water. It comes after a powerful aftershock forced crews to flee the area. On Tuesday Japan raised the nuclear alert around the facility to the maximum level of seven. This puts the crisis on a par with the Chernobyl disaster. The decision was based on new data showing more radiation had leaked from the damaged plant than previously thought. But officials say that the upgrade does not mean the situation has become more critical. Meanwhile, attempts to restore cooling systems at the reactors appear to be no closer to success. Nuclear engineer, Arnold Gundersen, believes the Japanese government has downplayed the extent of the disaster... RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com

The reactors are said to be intact at the moment. And officials claim there hasn't been a change in the radiation levels since the latest incident took place. At least 22 people have already been exposed to radiation - after an earlier explosion following Friday's devestating tremor and tsunami. Officials say the possibility of another blast is now unlikely. People within a 20km radius of the reactor have been evacuated to safety. There had been warnings of a three-metre high tsunami moving towards the northeast coast of Japan caused by a strong aftershock. We're now getting reports that the alert has been lifted. Prime Minister Naoto Kan has called it the worst crisis since World War II. RT's Ivor Bennett is in Sendai, one of the towns worst-affected by the huge wave.

The fuel rods, covered in debris from the March explosions, weren't visible in the footage but officials believe they are largely undamaged. In an operation filmed by a robot camera, 40 milliliters of water was collected from the spent fuel pool. The water is contaminated with high levels of radioactive material which needs further analysis for evaluation.

Maximum Annual Dose In Few Days! Regardless of what anyone thinks about GreenPeace and their stance on fraudulent man made warning, this video clearly shows that levels at least 40km from the plant are EXTREMELY high! People NEED to be evacuated from the area. The Japanese government is involved in a CRIMINAL cover up that possibly extends to the IAEA and various other governments who are openly lying about the situation. Download from www.dailymotion.com GreenPeace France www.greenpeace.org Greenpeace sent a team of experts in radiation protection in the area of the plant in Fukushima. January Vande Putte, and his team are measures on average 35 km from the plant, outside evacuation zone. The team confirmed the levels of radiation than ten micro Sievert per hour in the village of Iitate, 40km northwest of central Fukushima / Daiichi and 20 km beyond the official evacuation zone. These levels are high enough to require evacuation. From a health standpoint, it is not trivial to remain in this area, especially for those "at risk" as children and pregnant women, who could receive in a few days the maximum annual dose of radiation .
