A Briton extradited to the United States over allegations of arms dealing has been denied bail, reports say.
Chris Tappin, 65, of Orpington, SE London, was extradited on February 24 after claims that he conspired to sell batteries for use in Iranian missiles.
Federal prosecutors told a court in El Paso, Texas, that Mr Tappin could be a "danger to the community" if released.
Mr Tappin's wife Elaine described the decision to keep in custody as "heartbreaking" and an "outrage"
Mr Tappin, a retired businessman, denies trying to sell batteries for use by Iran in Hawk missiles and says he has been the victim of an FBI sting.
